Why Are X-Factor Albums So Bad? →

tomewing:

Guardian column in which I hopefully demonstrate that the answer isn’t quite as stonkingly obvious as it appears, and also talk about bubblegum and its return in the form of Cher Lloyd’s (very good) record.

Very interesting column, but the comments are depressing me. Instead of engaging with this idea in any meaningful way, it’s all just descended into a cliched list of why X-Factor is obviously terrible and not about music, yadda yadda, why did you even bother writing this, blah blah. I know it’s the internet and I should know better, but still.
